DISTINGUISHED FELLOW PLUS HONRARY PHD
This is the highest level of professional recognition by the Institute. Procedure for this award is constantly reviewed to project the highest professional standards. Applicants must M.Sc with a mininum of 15 years of work experience. Honorary PhD is issued by the Institute.
DOCTORAL FELLOW
The Council of Institute of Product Development and Marketing Strategy confer Doctoral Fellow on Persons who have been in Product Development and Marketing Strategy for at least 12 years and who are adjudged to be eligible by qualification and experience with an M.Sc.
RESEARCH FELLOW
The Council of Institute of Product Development and Marketing Strategy confer Research Fellow on Persons who have been in Product Development and Marketing Strategy for at least 10 years and who are adjudged to be eligible by qualification and experience with an M.Sc.
FELLOW MEMBER
The Council of Institute of Product Development and Marketing Strategy confer Fellow on Persons who have been in Product Development and Marketing Strategy for at least 8 years and who are adjudged to be eligible by qualification and experience with HND/B.Sc.
SENIOR MEMBER

FULL MEMBER

ASSOCIATE MEMBER

Current Trends
Current trends (Automation, Digitalization, etc.) are key drivers for new and changed practices. Examples on their relation to product development are:
- Digitalization: “Design space exploration” and similar novel constructs can contribute to a step change in product development.
- Advancements in materials and manufacturing processes: Their radical nature challenge current product development practices.
- Societal aspects: How to bring sustainable aspects into product development, where 70-80% of the product life-cycle behavior is determined, is not well understood today.
- Complexity and multidisciplinarity: Product development research needs to be re-enforced to bring inter-disciplinary excellence together and ensure functionality, safety and reliability of increasingly complex systems.
